Wednesday Evening 4 weeks Handbuilding Workshop

Make your own ceramic objects out of stoneware clay in this 4 week long Workshop on Wednesday evenings from 18.30–20.30

DETAILS

4 x 2 h handbuilding (3 x 2 h handbuilding with clay + 2 h glazing) with a reduced price compared to our regular Workshops (instead of 325€ you pay 50 less, so: 275€ for the 4 week block)

STEPS

In a small group we experiment with different shapes and techniques, from pinching, coiling to slab building. Free forms can be tried out here. Open to anyone, regardless of previous knowledge or skills, even though a little bit of clay experience can definitely be useful here. 

After drying for several days and being fired once they can be final glazed in various colours in our last session.

All materials, tools, firings are included.

Workshops are held in German and/or English, depending on the group.

The pieces need to dry for 7–10 days, before they can go into the kiln to be fired for the first time. Then you can glaze your objects, followed by a glaze firing at 1250°C, a slow cool down, until you can finally hold them in your hands.
